Freshers Fayre Update.

Hi all and welcome to the new UCL term. We hope that your first week here has been fun and that you are ready to start lectures on Monday. We have had a very successful freshers fayre with hundreds of you coming to our stall and getting information about our society. We have unfortunately had a slight technical hitch in that some of your email addresses may have accidentally been deleted from our spreadsheet.

If you signed up to our email list on Monday morning/early afternoon then you may not be on the list to receive our weekly email. If you think you may have signed up at this point please follow the link to the UCLU Jazz Society Groupspace where you can enter your address to receive out weekly email.

We look forward to seeing you next week for rehearsals and drinks.

UCLU Joining Fortnight.

We have now has a full 2 weeks of term here at UCL and I hope you are all feeling suitably tired. Now that the Unions "Try Fortnight" has come to its conclusion you can now start joining all of your favourite societies so that you can continue with them for the rest of the academic year.

The next fortnight in the Unions calendar is "Joining Fortnight" where you have to have joined the society by the end of this fortnight if you wish to continue using the services offered. The Jazz Society has a great deal to offer, as we hope this last fortnight has shown, and you can enjoy us for the rest of the year for a bargain £10. You will require membership to the society if you want to rehearse with any of our bands, perform in any of our shows, enjoy the group discounts offered at upcoming events, get offered paid small band gigs and to be considered cool around campus.

We hope that we have convinced you that we are worth the small investment for the year and if you want to join the society then you have a couple of options. The easier manner is to head over to the UCLU Shop.

and sign up and pay online. You can also head to the CSC Reception, 2nd floor of the Bloomsbury Theatre and sign up there but we will warn you that there may be heavy queues towards the end of join fortnight.
